How to launch the “Zoom” class

Welcome to our Zoom Virtual Classroom tutorial which has been prepared exclusively for your comfort and ease. Our simple learning system is easy to use and does not require any prior computer knowledge.

Please follow the following procedure:

• Ensure that your headset and mic are properly connected to the computer and are in working condition. Check if the internet connectivity is good and consistent. Make sure you close all the other applications on your computer or laptop before starting the class. This shall help in making your system run faster.
• You can use any browser like Internet Explorer (IE) or Chrome or Firefox to Join the Meeting/Class.
• Once you click the “Direct Meeting Link” you received in the Email, the browser will prompt you to download “Zoom Launcher“. Once you download the “Zoom Launcher” and click on the  downloaded file, it will automatically log you into the class.  
• If the Host/Tutor hasn’t joined the class/meeting yet, then you will get a message saying “Please wait for the host to join the meeting“. Once the host starts the meeting, the Zoom meeting window will appear where you can Join through audio or video or both. To Join, Click on “Join Audio Conference by Computer“. This option should automatically appear when you try to join the Zoom meeting/class. To connect to video, simply select Video icon at the bottom left hand corner of the Zoom meeting/class window.
• When the screen prompts you to enter your name, please enter your full name as given in our records. Entering wrong name shall make it difficult for your Tutor to identify you and hence you may not be allowed to enter the class/meeting.

That’s it! Rest shall be explained by your Tutor in the class.
